Assembly Member for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, has written once again to Royal Mail to ask when residents of Fforest Coalpit are likely to see a new post box installed in their area.
Nick first wrote to Royal Mail back in March this year, requesting that Fforest Coalpit residents have a replacement post box following the closure of the local post office several years ago.
Residents suggested that the most convenient location for a post box would be at the Five Ways Crossroads.
Speaking today Nick said: “ Royal Mail have informed me in the last few days that the request for a replacement post box at Five Ways Crossroads is proceeding. Should no concerns about the location be raised they would look to install the post box as soon as possible, and that this should be in the next nine weeks.
Nick added: “I hope there will not be any further delays , as local residents have been campaigning for this for some time before I became involved. I know they will welcome the convenience of a new local post box at the earliest opportunity.”
