AM highlights safety concerns at Hardwick Roundabout

Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay has written to the Welsh Government’s Cabinet Minister for Transport, Ken Skates AM, after being contacted by constituents expressing safety concerns about The Hardwick Roundabout on the outskirts of Abergavenny, where the A40 meets the A465.

“Residents are concerned about the increase in the number of accidents and lorries overturning at the roundabout and anticipate that such problems are likely to increase further when the A465 dualling scheme is completed in the next few years,” said Mr Ramsay.

“Constituents are asking whether any thought has been given to assessing the safety of the roundabout in the light of the likely increase in traffic so as to avoid any serious problems at this junction in the future.

“I look forward to hearing Mr Skates’ comments on this issue.”
