Local Assembly Member for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, met with Mr David Jenkins, Chairman of Aneurin Bevan Health Board at the Board’s headquarters in Mamhilad last Tuesday.
The meeting was an opportunity for Nick to discuss local issues affecting constituents in recent months. In addition the Chairman of the Local Health Board was able to explain the steps the Board will be taking in the coming year to develop health services for people in Gwent and South Powys.
Speaking after today’s meeting Nick said, “I was pleased to be able to discuss various issues of local concern with the Board’s Chairman and to learn more about the Annual Plan for 2011/12.
“We also discussed the Local Health Board’s agreed clinical strategy set out in “Clinical Futures”, and I was pleased that progress is being made in implementing the strategy.
“I will be watching closely to ensure that the Board is able to keep to its ambitious timescale for developing a new critical care centre in Llanfrechfa and remodelling of Nevill Hall Hospital.”
