AM welcomes new signage for Monmouth

Monmouth Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has welcomed news that missing signage at Monmouth is to be replaced.

Mr Ramsay, who has repeatedly written to the Welsh Government Minister for Infrastructure, Ken Skates AM, asking for the missing signs to be replaced, said: “I was pleased to hear from David Cummings, Chairman of Monmouth and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce, that after a four year campaign the missing signage is finally going to be replaced.

“However, Mr Cummings has expressed disappointment that a bed sign for accommodation has not been included and felt it would have been useful for the words ‘town centre’ to have been added to the signage as this is the primary route southbound to the main town centre car parks from the A40.

“Hopefully, the new signs will be in place well before the busy tourist season gets under way.”
