Local Assembly Member for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, has welcomed an invitation to meet with Nick Speed, Wales Director of BT Group, to learn more about plans to improve 4G coverage in the constituency, or provide it to areas which currently don’t have it at all.
Nick is arranging a meeting with BT, which owns EE to find out the benefits that this new investment will deliver, and which parts of the Monmouth constituency will benefit.
Speaking today Mr Ramsay said: “I have also heard that the UK Government’s new Universal Service Obligation (USO) for Broadband will launch in March. Monmouth has been identified as one of a number of constituencies that could see improvements in broadband speeds for many hard to reach premises as a result of it. I’m looking forward to hearing how BT will be delivering the USO and what constituents need to do to apply for it.
“I will provide further details once my meeting with BT has taken place, but hope there will be good news for many constituents before much longer.”
