Local AM Adds Support to Campaign to Save Troy Viaduct

MONMOUTH Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay, is adding his voice to the call to save Troy viaduct which needs urgent repair and restoration as it is currently posing a danger to the public and the landowner who farms the adjacent land.

Speaking about the old railway viaduct Nick said: “This is a valuable piece of Monmouth’s heritage, and I believe a way must be found to restore it. Once gone it is lost forever, and I know how much people have regretted the demolition of other disused viaducts once they have gone.

“ I’m raising this with the Welsh Government’s Heritage Minister, Huw Lewis AM, to see what can be done to help preserve this well-known Monmouth landmark.”
