Local AM Enjoys Day at Usk Show

Monmouth Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay, enjoyed a wonderful day at Usk Show last Saturday in the sunshine that helped attract huge crowds to the popular annual show.

Nick held a surgery at Monmouth Conservative Association’s stand in the morning, meeting constituents to hear about various issues of concern.

Nick also had time to meet farming groups at the FUW stand to discuss the Welsh Government’s Post-Brexit Land Management proposals and to take part in the Gwent YFC’s cycling challenge..

Speaking today Nick said: “ This year’s show was a great day out for the whole family. The show ground was packed. It was a great opportunity to meet constituents, and members of our local farming community, and to listen to their concerns prior to returning to Cardiff for the start of new Assembly term today.

Nick added: “I particularly enjoyed the camel racing!

“ Well done to all those involved in organising another very successful Usk show.”
