Monmouth Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay, was pleased to receive news that Monmouth Off Street Project in Monmouth has been awarded £8,128 of National Lottery funding in January after successfully applying to The National Lottery Community Fund.
The project will improve their Skate-Park by installing a water-fountain with bottle refill station and reducing litter through litter picks and working with local schools to promote a cleaner environment.
Speaking today Nick said: “ This is great news for the Monmouth project, and shows that it’s worth local groups applying to the National Lottery Community Fund for financial assistance.
“I would also like to bring to constituents’ attention the launch of a new grants programme by The National Lottery, called ‘Helping End Homelessness’. The programme will award a total of £10m in Wales to support strategic projects that work in a partnership across one or more local authority areas to redesign services to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurrent.
“ I hope we will see projects in Monmouthshire benefitting from this new grants programme in the not too distant future.”
