Local Assembly Member for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, was delighted to attend the annual Vision of Hope carol concert held at St Mary’s Priory Church, Abergavenny on Saturday evening.
Nick is a keen supporter of the Vision of Hope project based at The Wenallt Farm, Gilwern.
Founded and run by David and Dinah Sansome, the Vision of Hope Animal Assisted Therapy aims to help young offenders turn their lives around by encouraging them to build trust and form a bond with the animals living on their 18 acre farm, many of which have been rescued. Several of the residents have gone on to build lives in the local community and work for the charity either permanently or as volunteers.
Speaking after service Nick said: ““This was a lovely carol service with Vision of Hope. Monmouthshire is blessed to have such an inspiring, locally based charity. The sermon given by Rev Richard Pidgeley was extremely thought -provoking.”
