Local Member of the Welsh Parliament for Monmouth, Nick Ramsay, was delighted to receive news from the Welsh Government that from April means testing for small and medium disabled facilities grants will be removed.
This follows on from Nick’s recent debate in the Senedd when he called for home adaptations being made fairer and faster for those suffering from debilitating conditions such as Motor Neurone Disease.
Speaking today Nick said: “ I’m delighted to hear this long-awaited news set out in the statement from Julie James, Welsh Government Minister for Housing and Local Government issued on 10th March.
“ This will come as a huge relief for those suffering from disabilities and struggling to remain in their own homes and should make the process of obtaining a grant easier and open to many more disabled people. I couldn’t be more pleased at the announcement.”
