Nick unveils new murals at Raglan Parc Golf Club

Six new murals adorning the underpass to Raglan Parc Golf Club were officially unveiled on Saturday by Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay.

The murals, which include a series of caricatures and golf scenes, were painted by local artist Lyn Crossman, and were commissioned by the Board last year.

Raglan Parc’s Managing Director Nigel Price said: “We had been saying for some time that something needed to be done to brighten up the rather dark and dingy tunnel leading to the Club. My wife and I happened to know Lyn who teaches us dancing and we knew she was also a very good artist.”

Congratulating Lyn and the team at Raglan Parc Golf, Nick said: “The underpass has been stark and functional since the A449 was built and was in much need of a makeover.

“The murals of golfing scenes are simple but powerful and a fitting addition to this part of Raglan, making the route to the Club so much more pleasant.”
