Local Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay, has welcomed the launch of Citizens Advice’s new “Help to Claim” service which is up and running as of today.
The new service will help constituents make a Universal Credit claim, offering independent, tailored and practical support to help ensure that the first full payment is received on time.
Enquiries can be made through the CAB’s free phone line (Tel: 08000 241 220), via web chat and at local Citizens Advice services during office hours.
Speaking today Nick said: “I’d encourage any constituents making an initial claim for Universal Credit to seek advice from Citizen’s Advice if they need assistance. They will then be supported through the application process so that it runs as smoothly as possible.
“By working closely with jobcentres, local authorities and other local organisations an individual service can be provided by well-trained staff. Anyone requiring a face to face appointment should contact their local office.”
