Local Senedd Member, Nick Ramsay, has welcomed news that Monmouthshire Housing Association has been awarded a total of £18,264 of National Lottery funding in May this year after successfully applying to The National Lottery Community Fund.
Speaking today Nick said: “It’s great to receive some positive news during these difficult times. I understand that Monmouthshire Housing Association will use the COVID-19 grant top-up of £18,864 to support families who report high levels of relationship tension and anxiety, and that the essential support will include dealing with incidents of domestic abuse.”
Nick added: ”Since March and the outbreak of COVID-19, the National Lottery Community Fund has awarded a total of £10.8m to 346 community groups across Wales, many of which are directly supporting people and their communities through COVID-19. The Fund remains open to new applications and aims to distribute this funding to where it’s vitally needed as quickly as possible. I’m sure many people in Monmouthshire will benefit from the award to Monmouthshire Housing Association in the weeks ahead.”
