Nick Ramsay, Assembly Member for Monmouth, has paid tribute to volunteers who organised a successful fundraising lunch for the local Conservatives at village hall in Llanover at the weekend.
The event, organised by County Councillor Jane Pratt, was attended by over 100 Conservative activists, members and supporters from South East Wales, who heard from guest speaker former cabinet minister and MP for the Forest of Dean Mark Harper.
Nick Ramsay said, “This was a well-attended event with a fascinating speech from nearby MP Mark Harper about his time in government and his work promoting the campaign to get more women elected to parliament.
“I pay tribute to the volunteers including Cllr Jane Pratt who organised and catered for the event, raising funds for the next elections to the Welsh Assembly when Welsh Conservatives will be campaigning to win more seats and end Labour’s 20 years in power in Wales.”
